Step 2: Base Coat

  • Apply Base Coat: Apply a clear base coat to protect your nails and create a surface that will help the powders adhere better. Cure under a UV/LED lamp for 60 seconds.

Step 3: Gel Polish (Optional)

  • Apply Gel Polish: If you’re using a gel polish as a base color (choose a light color for best results), apply a thin layer and cure it under the lamp as per the manufacturer’s instructions. This step is optional but recommended for more vibrant colors.

Step 4: Applying Ombre Powder

  • Apply Ombre Powder: Using a small eyeshadow applicators, gently rub into your chosen ombre powder colors. Start with the lightest color at the base of the nail and a darker shade towards the tip, or vice versa.
  • Blend the Colors: Rub the applicator onto the nail, gently blending the colors together where they meet to create a smooth gradient effect. You may need to go back and forth a few times to achieve the desired blend.
  • Dust Off Excess: Use a dust brush to remove any excess powder from around the nail and cuticle area.

Step 5: Top Coat

  • Apply Top Coat: Seal in your design with a top coat. Apply a gel top coat and cure under the lamp for 60 seconds. Make sure to cover the entire nail surface, capping the tips to prevent chipping.

Step 6: Finishing Touches

  • Clean Up: Clean up any residue or powder around the nails.
