The little magnets could be stronger on the base itself but it worked very well for my custom press ons. Note that there is a little sticker covering the magnet on the tip that holds the nail, I accidentally discovered that. Made filing press ons much easier as well and the tip stayed on the holder, wont work if you try and file while the holder is on the base.
